About

Japman received his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, India. During his undergraduate, he was actively involved in SAE BAJA competitions and led the roll cage design. In his senior year, he took up leadership positions for technical organizations and was also a member of the student affairs council. After graduating, Japman worked in the automotive industry at Maruti Suzuki, designing and developing exterior components for the vehicle body. He completed his M.S. in Robotics at Michigan in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Robotics. His areas of interest include the design and control of exoskeletons and prosthetics.
